Stowe lets you choose whether an account is private or shared with your household. This gives you control over what other household members can see.
Private accounts
A private account is only visible to you. Transactions from a private account are not shown to other household members.
Shared accounts
A shared account is visible to your household. Transactions from a shared account can appear in household views, spending, transactions, bills, and other shared areas of Stowe.
Change account privacy
Go to the Dash tab.
Tap the connected banks icon in the top right.
Choose the account you want to manage.
Find the account privacy setting.
Toggle the account to private or shared.
If the toggle is on and green, the account is shared with your household.
Use rules for certain shared transactions
You can also create rules for specific types of transactions. For example, you may keep an account private but create a rule so grocery purchases from a certain store are always shared with your household.
Why privacy controls matter
Households often share some financial responsibilities while keeping other parts of money separate. Stowe is designed to support both.
