Spending tab

The Spending tab helps you understand where your money is going this month, how it compares to previous months, and which categories or merchants are driving your spending. You’ll find the Spending tab at the bottom of the Stowe app.

At the top of the Spending tab, Stowe shows your current monthly spending. You can compare your current month to your previous month, shown day by day, and your average monthly spend over the last 6 months.

Swipe across the top chart to see your average spend per day over the month. This view also shows average daily spend, peak daily spend, and your spendiest day of the week.

Swipe again to see a circular spending chart. This shows the categories where your money went during the month. Stowe also shows your spendiest group and how that compares to your average spending in that group.

Below the top chart, use the left and right arrows to move between months.

Scroll down to see your spending groups. Tap any group to see the subgroups inside it. For example, the Housing group may include maintenance, mortgage, rent, insurance, utilities, and property taxes.

As you scroll through the Spending tab, Stowe may show insights based on your spending and similar household comparisons. Similar household comparisons are based on details like income range, location, and household size.

The Spending tab also includes recent transactions, so you can quickly see the latest activity Stowe has processed.

At the bottom of the Spending tab, you can see your top merchants for the month and which merchants made up the largest share of your total spending.
